Founded in the North Foundation is a collaboration of the Northern Netherlands knowledge institutions, the business community, provinces and municipalities to strengthen the northern startup ecosystem. In the vibrant startup and scale-up ecosystem of the Northern Netherlands, numerous initiatives are flourishing. We create a dynamic support network that guides startups through the key stages and milestones of their growth. With a mix of in-house insights, existing initiatives and internationally proven methods, we aim to strengthen a thriving startup community.

What will you do?

In this role, you will work closely with a junior marketer and other team members to develop and execute Founded's strategic marketing and growth plans. You will set the structure for all marketing communications activities within Founded and ensure the visibility and positioning of our programmes, such as BeStart, MXT and Inspiration programmes for students.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Branding and positioning: Ensure consistent brand identity and enhance brand positioning through targeted visual and textual communications.

• Strategic planning: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and growth strategies that contribute to Founded's long-term goals.

• Content strategy: Create and implement a content strategy that reflects Founded's vision and mission, including inspiring and in-depth stories about entrepreneurs and startups. In doing so, we use AI tools to accelerate content production, such as transcribing audio to text using AI.

• Workflow automation: Implement and manage AI-driven workflows and automations within tools such as Hubspot and Bird to streamline and improve marketing processes.

• Digital marketing and social media: Manage all digital marketing activities and social media channels, including developing campaigns to increase engagement and visibility.

• SEO: Optimise online presence through SEO strategies and data analysis to gain insights and adjust strategies for maximum impact.

• Project management: Lead marketing and communication projects, including organising and promoting events and programmes such as BeStart and MXT.

• Team coaching: Supervise junior team member and contribute to professional development and a positive team culture.

  Innovation and trends: Identify and apply new trends and developments in the market to create innovative marketing solutions.

• Performance monitoring: Further develop KPIs, monitor the performance of marketing activities and report results to the management team.

About you:

• a completed education in Communication, Marketing or a similar field

• you are eager to learn and constantly keep abreast of the latest developments in the field;

• at least 5+ years' experience in a similar role;

• strong analytical skills to interpret data and use it to optimise strategies;

• excellent writing and communication skills in Dutch and English;

• in-depth experience with digital marketing, social media and content creation;

• a passion for entrepreneurship, startups and scale-ups;

• ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• leadership experience and ability to coach junior team members.
